Strathmere Development Plans
Strathmere has exciting plans for the future including the creation of The Wellness Centre. This development will include 15 new guest rooms, and an exciting Nordic Spa scheduled to open in fall of 2012. The focus of the Spa will be on fostering health and wellness through its stimulating, enjoyable yet serene environment that will contribute powerfully to relaxation and stress-reduction. Over the next few years our facilities will grow to include 59 bedrooms, 9 meeting rooms and 4 banquet rooms, and will include expanded recreational facilities.
Historic Strathmere Inn will be remodeled to become a regular full-service country inn for individuals and small groups, while a new event facility will have been constructed to accommodate groups from 50 to 100.
Despite our planned strong growth Strathmere will remain a rural retreat facility with amenities and services at the quality level of the best urban facilities. We will continue to provide a sense of privacy and intimacy through carefully spacing our facilities in their own meadows and gardens, while our 193 acres of farmland will ensure that no matter how closely the City grows up around us, there will always be a sense of getting away into the country.
